Laurie Shiparski RN, BSN, MS
Laurie Shiparski is the president and CEO of Edgework Institute, Inc. an organization dedicated to working with individuals and groups to renew and energize their work and lives. She is the developer of Edgework, a process that provides a simple approach for people to re-energize, heal and move through life challenges.
She has over 25 years experience in the health care arena in roles ranging from critical care RN, clinical hospital management, organizational consulting and as a corporate business executive in a healthcare technology company. This background has given her knowledge and experience in assisting individuals and groups through transitions in a wide variety of sectors. Her personal experiences within healthcare, corporate and non profit organizations equips her well to know the challenges of these arenas and assist others in navigating and influencing change in them. Laurie is a trained personal and professional coach and certified in 4 Gateways Coaching and a life coach for those seeking support on their journeys.
Coaching methodologies include 4 Gateways Coaching, the Sedona Method, Polarity management, Personal Story Work and "The Work" of Bryon KatieLaurie has sought to uncover her gifts and bring her authentic self to work and life which includes her ability for story telling, poetry, and writing. She has incorporated this into her two decades of experience with designing programs that utilize dialogue/communication, polarity management, and relationship building techniques. She is very experienced at helping individuals and groups come to realizations and self discovery. These are experiential approaches that facilitate people to re-connect with their passion and purpose and create healing opportunities. These programs also create the development of healthy, holistic, spiritual cultures in healthcare organizations.
Laurie is a resource to many who are seeking to utilize their energy to live a full, meaningul life. This is evident in her books, articles, workshops, speaking engagements, and interactions. She is the author of numerous articles and 5 books; Change is Life, Riding the Waves of Change, Turning points: surfacing individual and group wisdom; and a poetry/music CD; Alive with passion. She is co-author on Can The Human Being Thrive In The Workplace; Dialogue as a strategy of Hope; and The Partnership Council Field Book; Strategies and Tools for Co-Creating Healthy Workplaces.
