Jonathan Hefter
Personal Transition Coach, Wedding Officiant

Jonathan Hefter is the Director of Witness Circle Ceremonies & Coaching, serving as a certified Personal Transition Coach, and registered wedding officiant.

He has been active with soul-based support work for nearly fifteen years. In studying Rites Of Passage work, he has participated in Vision Fast ceremonies with the School of Lost Borders in Big Pine, California, and serves on staff with Jeffrey Duvall of The Men's Leadership Alliance in Eldora, Colorado.

In 2003 Jonathan completed the MLA's Art of Leadership Training Program, and has since served several times as a Guide with The Berkshire Men's Circle. In keeping with this tradition, he completed training in the pilot year of the 4 Gateways Coaching certification program, and is currently enrolled in the first group to pass through the MLA’s Apprenticeship.

As a poet and writer, Jonathan works with couples, families, and individuals intent on creating ceremony that reaches across all faiths. Focusing the words of your ceremony towards the intention of your commitment, Jonathan’s deep connection to soul and listening have created a distinct offering, rooted in community, passion, and spirit.

He currently serves onstaff at the Darien (CT) Center for Integrative Medicine as an inclusive and joyful partner in your wedding or coaching process. He and his wife Kathryn live in Manhattan and Connecticut.
