Coach Training with 4 Gateways

The Basic Coach Training Program is a 7-month program including the following components:

Three 3-day in-person coach training intensives currently being held in Boulder, Colorado.

Instructional Teleclasses. Free introductory teleclasses take place before the first intensive weekend. Four teleclasses take place between the first and second and between the second and third weekends. Two follow-up teleclasses take place after the 3rd weekend for a total of 10 teleclasses.

Mentor Meetings: These are virtual meetings held conference call/teleclass style with small groups of participants with program mentors. These calls begin after the first weekend intensive. (8 in total)

Buddy Calls: These are weekly required calls offering participants the opportunity to practice with one another and work through materials. These calls also begin after the first weekend intensive.

Practice-Building Support: Participants can take advantage of business and marketing coaching that is built into the program. It is anticipated that everyone will have one or more paying coaching clients by the end of the training.

The process of certification requires the full participation in all activities along with the examination and demonstration of proficiency with the coaching model. Final decisions about certification will ultimately be determined by Tom Daly.

Pre-requisites for the course: It is strongly suggested that participants of this coaching program, especially those who are seeking certification, already have experience in the helping professions.

A basic knowledge of coaching, counseling or other therapeutic modalities is urged in order to provide a framework for the process. Should anyone have questions or concerns about this Tom Daly, Seth Braun or a member of the team they designates should be consulted before application is finalized. This prerequisite will increase the likelihood that participants will complete the course.

Also to be considered is if someone is anticipating a major life change during the course of the program. Again, this may increase the likelihood that the individual may not complete the course and will also disrupt the flow of mentor groups and buddy relationships.
