Laurie Shiparski RN, BSN, MS

Ms. Shiparski has over 30 years of experience in nursing and healthcare leadership positions. She has worked in various roles including: critical care RN, clinical hospital management, owner of a healthcare consulting business, and as a corporate business executive in a healthcare technology and clinical practice company.

Her leadership and practical experience in healthcare work includes: leadership development and coaching, organizational assessment, creating healthy cultures, implementing interdisciplinary evidenced based practice, advancement of technology to support clinical practice, patient focused care, enhancing shared decision making and shared governance. Ms. Shiparski’s strengths include working with all levels of healthcare, engaging and facilitating group processes, assisting with conflict resolution. She has helped many nurse and interdisciplinary executives with executing large scale change to improve cultural, clinical and financial outcomes. This experience also lends to her ability to coach healthcare executives and leaders with all facets of their personal and professional lives.

Coaching methodologies include 4 Gateways coaching, the Sedona Method, Polarity management, Personal Story Work and “The Work” of Bryon Katie. Laurie has sought to uncover her gifts and bring her authentic self to work and life which includes her ability for storytelling, poetry, and writing. She has incorporated this into her two decades of experience with designing programs that utilize dialogue/communication, polarity management, and relationship building techniques. She is very experienced at helping individuals and groups come to realizations and self-discovery. These are experiential approaches that facilitate people to re-connect with their passion and purpose and create healing opportunities. These programs also create the development of healthy, holistic, spiritual cultures in healthcare organizations.

Ms. Shiparski is an author and national speaker. She has authored numerous articles and 5 books; Change is Life, Riding the Waves of Change, Turning points: surfacing individual and group wisdom; and a poetry/music CD; Alive with passion. She is co-author on Can the Human Being Thrive in the Workplace; Dialogue as a strategy of Hope; and The Partnership Council Field Book; Strategies and Tools for Co-Creating Healthy Workplaces.

Ms. Shiparski holds an ADN degree from Purdue University, a BSN degree from The University of Michigan and a Master of Science degree from Andrews University. She is certified in the Four Gateways Coaching Process, Polarity Management, and dialogue facilitation. She is an active member of AONE and Sigma Theta Tau the International Nursing Society.
